I was awarded the Areito Taino Award for Author of the Year

Last 2020 the Taino community in the Bronx, New York, who have an annual award ceremony commemorating those who through their art, music, and life keep the Taino culture alive, awarded me the Areito Taino Award Author of the Year. But, Covid happened and activities were canceled. This year I would have the chance, and I am very excited to be able to receive it and share a beautiful evening with this wonderful community. On the day I will share photos on my social media so be sure to follow me on Instagram and my Facebook Page. When I get back, I will tell you all about it in an update post.

It is such an honor they have given me and I am so grateful. This has been such a beautiful journey that is almost coming to an end with Ascensión Divina’s last book. I have shared a little of that journey in my newsletter today. You can read it here, this newsletter is in Spanish. Be sure to subscribe to the newsletter here to get it in your inbox every month. Thank you so much for your support.

I share with you the press release for the event.
